Turin Novak Djokovic qualified for the semi-finals of the ATP Finals by defeating Andrei Rublev 6-3 6-2 on Wednesday.

Top-ranked Djokovic is attempting to equal Roger Federer’s record-breaking six titles in the season-ending event for the world’s top eight players.

Djokovic was again nearly fine with his serve, although Rublev managed to break it in the opening match. Djokovic broke twice in each set and won the match with a 12th header.

Djokovic is now 2-0 in the green group. He defeated Casper Rudd in his opening group match.

Rudd will meet Cameron Norrie later Wednesday. Nouri was called up as the second substitute after 2018 champion Stefanos Tsitsipas was forced to retire due to injury. Jannick Sener replaced Matteo Berrettini on Tuesday.
