Jaguar put Jamal Agnew in injured reserve

Jacksonville, Florida. Bad news for Jaguar got worse on Monday.

The kick-taker/returner put Jamal Agnew on the injured reserve after sustaining a thigh injury during Sunday’s 3-10 loss to San Francisco. Agnew was an excellent free agent contracting with Jacksonville and the team’s biggest spark in the specials. Now, it is out of season.

Agnew was developing as a future. He’s had 24 catches for 229 yards and two touchdowns this season. Agnew also had a 66-yard touchdown the previous week against the Colts.

But his impact was much greater on private teams. He was the best player in the special teams in Asia in September. Agnew re-kicked 102 yards for a touchdown against the Broncos in Week 2 and added a failed 109-yard field goal attempt for a touchdown the following week against Arizona.

Both of these landings were franchise records for the longest comeback and longest landing.
