Boselli, Taylor included in the Hall of Fame semi-finals again
Tony Boselli and Fred Taylor reached the Pro Football Hall of Fame semi-finals again this year. It’s the seventh year in a row for Boselli and the third time for Taylor.
Former Jaguars greats were among the 26 players announced for the semi-finals on Wednesday. The roster will be paired up to 15 finalists and then to five recruits by February.
Boselli has been a finalist in each of the past five years. It seems to be gaining more and more support over time. Taylor reached the semi-finals for the third year. It is not the only one that will be considered this year. Former Georgia and former 49er Eddie Titan and Eagle Ricky Waters were among the semi-finalists. Boselli and former Ram Willie Anderson are the only two attacking factors on the list this year.
Boselli made five consecutive Pro Bowls as a left tackle for the Jaguars between 1996-2000.
Taylor’s 11,695 yards is ranked 17th in NFL history.
Taylor holds seven of the 10 best single-season aggregates in team history, with 1,572 yards on 345 carry over during the 2003 season.
