A girl was injured after 20 bullets were fired at a car parked at a red light
Jacksonville, Florida. — A young man was injured early Sunday morning after someone fired about 20 shots at a car parked at a red light in Northside, according to the Jacksonville Police Office.
JSO said the young girl, whom police said “has happened”, was a passenger in a car that was stopped at a red light around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Dunn Street and Duval Street.
The victims told the police that they were stopped at the light when the suspect’s car stopped in front of them and the suspect got off with a gun. He said the suspect then fired approximately 20 bullets at the victim’s car and took off.
The JFRD transported the girl to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Joint Coordination Office did not say whether the driver was injured.
The Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit of the Office of Joint Services Coordination have responded and will conduct the investigation.
JSO said that so far there is no other information available, including a description of the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.
